100% of Camino Pablo students benefit from the Moraga Education Foundation grants to the Moraga School District, so we ask that 100% of families contribute to MEF’s Annual Giving Campaign.

What is the Moraga Education Foundation?

 

The Moraga Education Foundation (MEF) is the primary fundraising organization for all Moraga public school students TK-12th grade, including CP. MEF’s mission is to raise funds to bridge the gap between state education funding and the real cost of educating our children. 

 

Why Should I Donate? 

 

Public education is free, but excellent public education is not. Many people think that because of our high property values, we have well-funded schools, but that isn't the case. California ranks 28th in per-pupil funding, and Moraga is one of the lowest-funded districts in the state. State funding only covers the basics - a teacher in a classroom - your contributions make our schools excellent!

Where Does the Money Go?

 

Thanks to your support, MEF granted $2,835,000 to the Moraga schools this year. At CP, your contributions fund:

 

  • Science Teachers and Lab Supplies
  • Art Teachers and Supplies
  • Music Teachers and Supplies
  • School Supplies in ALL Classrooms
  • Reading Tutors
  • Teacher Aides
  • Counselors and Wellness Center Supplies
  • Librarian and Library Supplie
